Mantle of the Songkeeper is Fenna’s trial behind the Grove waterfall. Complete the basic Grove species entries, give her a Koroom, open the Heart of Thorns with Bloomcall, pluck the rose, return to Fenna and complete the recorded 5,000-Chime offering. The conversation rewards the Songkeeper title and Forest Spirit’s Lyre.

Speak to Fenna and read the active objectives
Fenna is behind the waterfall in Songkeeper’s Grove. Her task becomes available after the basic Grove species entries are filled. Keep a Koroom instead of selling every catch: the Index picture records the species, but does not leave a physical creature for delivery.
Approach the waterfall area after the Ocarina unlock. If Fenna’s conversation does not offer the quest, read her dialogue and check the Grove Index before assuming a level gate.
Complete the Koroom, rose and offering chain
- Give Fenna a KoroomCatch a Koroom and keep it. The Grove card gives a frequency band, but the live tuning screen determines whether the encounter appears. Hand over the actual catch rather than relying on the card being filled.
- Open the Heart of ThornsEquip the Ocarina at the thorn entrance beside Fenna. Open Known Songs, select Bloomcall and play the displayed notes. Homeward Melody returns you to your spawn and does not open this barrier.
- Cross the platforms and pluck the roseComplete the platform route while avoiding the thorns. Reach the white rose and use its pluck interaction. The rose route explains the pickup’s role and the movement item that helps with the jumps.
- Return and complete the offeringReturn to Fenna after obtaining the rose. The recorded hand-in asks for 5,000 Chimes. Read the live quote and confirm only after your balance supports it. Finish the return dialogue rather than leaving when the offering closes.
Check the title, lyre and badge
Look for the Songkeeper title and Forest Spirit’s Lyre in the reward conversation. Open Equipment Bag → Instruments to equip the lyre and confirm it is active. The official badge named Mantle Bearer checks completion of Mantle of the Songkeeper; the separate Keeper of the Garden badge checks the Sorin’s Respite Index.
Use the instrument catalogue to distinguish the lyre from the Ocarina and from other garden instruments.
