Catching instruments belong in the Equipment Bag’s Instruments tab. The Ocarina plays world-interaction songs instead. Choose an upgrade for the problem you have—control, tuning time or frequency reach—then check whether the item is sold directly or unlocked through a quest.

Read the attribute that changes your catch
The inspected in-game tooltips say Precision gives more room in the catch zone and Harmony reduces how often that zone darts around. The creator explains Tension as the Scroom following your marker more closely. The official description identifies Tune Speed as a faster tuning process.
Resonance controls frequency reach in the demonstrated equipment comparison. Compare its actual displayed limit with the target’s Index range. Luck is an equipment attribute; a printed bonus is not the probability of a particular species.
Compare the opening prices, then equip
The launch cards list Tamer’s Guitar at 100 Chimes, Adventurer’s Tambourine at 750 and Violin of Pilgrimage at 4,500. These are purchase quotes, not a universal ranking. The Chimes budget keeps income and spending separate.
After buying, open Equipment Bag → Instruments, select the item and press Equip. Close the bag and confirm the equipped state. Ocarina and Songtreads have separate unlock and use tasks; purchasing a catching instrument does not complete those objectives.
