Scrooms Index: Creatures and Collection Progress

Use the Scrooms Index to distinguish creature entries, area groups and collection progress, with links to individual catch objectives.

Sources checked

The Index is hotbar slot 3. Each area has its own card grid and completion figure. An undiscovered species appears as a silhouette labelled ??? but can still show rarity, frequency and tone fields. A caught species fills its main card; Melodic, Harmonic and Resonant are separate entries in its Tones block.

October 2026 launch material. Area card counts and source labels can change; check the live Index tab before treating an inventory as exhaustive.

Use the area page that matches your current hunt

Open the Index, choose an area tab, then select a card. A new catch produces New Index Entry on the first discovery and changes the area’s completion figure. The card’s frequency is a range for that species; the caught frequency belongs to the individual creature.

A locked area tab appears as World or ??? until you reach it. Selecting a tab does not prove you can catch everything on the page: check your current instrument’s frequency reach against the target range.

What you seeWhat it means
Black silhouette labelled ???The base species has not been discovered. Rarity and range may still be visible.
Filled creature cardThe base species is recorded; the area total and completion figure should update.
Melodic / Harmonic / Resonant rowThe named tone is recorded separately. A plain catch leaves other tone rows Uncaught.
Prefixed creature nameOne variant of the same base species; it does not create a new species card.
Area completion below 100%At least one card or required card state remains; inspect the current tab and objective instead of guessing from the percentage.

Go from a missing card to a supported task

Open Gloombell, Faebud or Bonsaibud for the three named catch pages available here. Use marked stones for Pell’s six-stone route and Bluestone Caverns for the next area’s access steps.
